As you may be aware, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) hosts a yearly fiction award, called the Nebulas. Every year, the membership nominates works for a final ballot of, e.g. Best Short Story, or, say, Best Novella.
As you may be aware, my novella THE LIAR was published last March in the Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction.
…
You may see where I’m going with this.
So! THE LIAR is a Nebula nominee for Best Novella, and man that is a weird sentence to type. I’m over the moon. 🙂
I owe so much to my friends at Codex who critiqued this story, to C.C. Finlay, Gordon van Gelder, and Lisa Rogers at the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, and especially to Liz, who put up with a lot of my angsting over this story over the last few years.
I may need to pass out now.
(Edited to add: You can pick up a copy of the March/April 2016 issue of F&SF at Amazon, and probably elsewhere online)
Yay! Squee! I’m so happy to see my writerly friends get recognized!
